Bangers and Mash


I'm not sure if mine is but, this is a traditional English dish. I am very anxious to make this with homeade sausage. It's a very simple dish that has few ingredients. Try it I'm sure you will enjoy!!

For the Bangers
Ingredients:
4-6 pork sausage links (garlic, italian or whatever you like)
2Tbsp veg. oil
1 sm-med onion
1tsp each salt and pepper
1 16oz can low sodium beef broth
3Tbsp flour

Directions:
Preheat large pan to medium heat and brown all sides (approx. 10min.). Remove from pan. Slice onion and add to pan. Add oil and continue to cook until onion starts to brown slightly. Mix in flour stirring constantly until the color resembles chocolate. Pour in beef broth and stir in until smooth. Place sausage links back into pan, bring to a simmer and continue until sauage is cooked through.

*serve with mashed potatoes
